Color Mixing Wins and Struggles, let’s chat..
I hope you’ve enjoyed the color theory series so far! We’ve covered a lot—from building a natural color wheel to mixing secondary and tertiary colors. But as we all know, mixing icing colors naturally isn’t always straightforward.
I shared a photo of the last minute cake I made for my FIL this week, I used black cocoa which I love because it tastes like Oreo! I wish it was a solid option for black royal icing.
Sometimes, you nail the perfect shade on the first try. Other times… well, you end up with something completely unexpected (hello, mystery brown!). I once accidentally added baking soda to red - instead of blue - and made an odd brown color!
I’d love to hear from you!
